A collaborative and evolving process
The album cover project began in 2020, through online meetings with Tunico and Mateus Rubim. We explored different visual directions that could reflect the atmosphere and essence of the album. Tunico eventually selected one of his father’s paintings to form the visual foundation of the project.
After initial drafts, we decided to shift the visual approach. We incorporated the green hues and organic textures from Costela de Adão (Guilherme Secchin, 2018), which added depth, freshness, and emotional resonance. On the final cover, I chose to present Tunico’s name subtly, giving prominence to the painting itself and highlighting its light and texture, which held deep significance for him.
Extending the vision: live shows and production
From 2023 to 2024, I contributed as executive producer and advisor to some of Tunico’s key live performances, supporting the translation of the visual narrative into live settings. I helped coordinate schedules with musicians and technical crews, assisting in the organization of the events to ensure everything ran smoothly and stayed aligned with the project’s creative vision.
Highlights include shows at Teatro Sérgio Porto, Blue Note (the first one), the Mango 5-Year Anniversary at Parque Uená Ete, a performance at Rio Gastronomia 2024, and a special concert at Sala Cecília Meireles.
